Assault 3 rd/Menacing 2 nd (arrest) 3289 E. River Rd CR#61519
Deputy Rahn and Sgt. Hawe, assisted by other 3 rd platoon deputies and Inv. Reger, report the 5/5/8 arrest of Marcus R. Reese M/B DOB 1/12/89 of 136 Oak Mills Crossing. On the 5 th at approximately 1815 hrs Reese, while attempting to purchase cigarettes at the register of the C & C Deli, intentionally lifted up his shirt, displaying what appeared to be a black handgun. The owner of the store, Massimo Logiudice, ordered Reese to leave the store as he doesn’t want gun toting customers in his store. Reese refused and kept displaying the gun in his waist band. The owner eventually grabbed a board and struck Reese one time in the leg in an effort to get him to leave. Reese still wouldn’t leave and once told that 911 was called started to beat the owner about the head with his fists. Deputies arrived and took Reese into custody not far from the scene. A BB Gun was recovered. Reese was processed and released on an appearance ticket.

B-Zone 2 nd Platoon, 3 rd Platoon, CIS and Major Crimes report the arrest of Waheed Allah Mohammad M/W DOB 2/12/86 of the above mentioned location. On 5/8/08 at approximately 1230 hrs Waheed stabbed his 19 year old sister numerous times during a domestic argument. The knife was later recovered by members of the MCSO Scuba Team in a pond behind the suspect’s residence. Waheed later confessed to Major Crimes Investigators. Waheed was arraigned at Henrietta Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of $ 250,000.00.

Deputy Johantgen, assisted by Deputy MacBride, reports the 5/8/08 arrest of Jorge L. Ramos-Garcia M/H DOB 1/13/84 of Building A Nemecio, Canales Apt 137 San Juan, Puerto Rico and Alfonzo Mena- Garcia M/H DOB 7/6/86 of Building 57 Nemecio, Canales Apt 1013 San Juan, Puerto Rico. On the 8 th the pair, who are cousins, responded to Marketplace Mall, went to Macy’s and stole approximately 25 watches, valued at $ 3,500.00, from a Kenneth Cole display case. The suspects claimed the case was open however they were found in possession of a large key ring with numerous display case keys on it as well as keys to escalators. The suspects also responded to the Piercing Pagoda and stole a tray of necklaces, valued at $ 1,500.00 that was sitting on a table in the kiosk. The suspects had traveled to the Rochester area and decided to go shopping at the mall. The suspects would not say exactly where they got the keys other than to say they brought them from Puerto Rico. Both suspects were arraigned at Henrietta Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of $ 10,000.00 bail.

Deputy LaPlant reports the request for a warrant of arrest for Michael E. Zastawrny M/W DOB 6/12/80 LKA 133 Locust Hill Dr. In December of 2007 Zastawrny stole a personal check from a housemate’s checkbook, forged it, and cashed it at a HSBC Bank. Deputy LaPlant’s search for Zastawrny resulted in negative results and it is believed Zastawrny has moved to Florida.

Deputies Davis and Johantgen, assisted by Inv.’s Reger, Kosch and other Third Platoon Deputies, report the 5/8/08 arrest of Cedrick Chealey M/B DOB 8/26/68 of 1763 Stone Rd. Greece and Christopher Jones M/B DOB 7/29/71, supposedly currently homeless, living in the Lake Ave area. On the 8 th at approximately 1600 hrs deputies were investigating the report of suspicious blue colored Chevy Celebrity with a broken window that had pulled out of Marketplace Mall. Deputy Davis found the vehicle as it pulled into the Delta Sonic and stopped it. The above two suspects ran from the vehicle and foot chases were on. Deputy Johantgen took Jones into custody and a number of deputies and a Brighton Police Officer took Chealey into custody, after a lengthy foot pursuit, in the area of 1551 Brighton Henrietta Town Line Rd. Investigation revealed that the vehicle the two ran from had just recently been stolen from an OTB in the city. Investigation also reviewed that the two suspects had just broken into a vehicle on Hylan Drive and had in their possession stolen credit cards from said vehicle. Chealey, with three prior felony convictions and on parole, was arraigned at Henrietta Court and remanded to Monroe County Jail on a no bail status. Jones was remanded on $ 7,500.00 bail

CPCS 7 th/UPM/Resisting Arrest (arrest) 99 Exchange Blvd CR#63735
Deputy Bove and Court Security Deputy Keller report the 5/10/08 arrest of Jack Hemingway M/B DOB 12/1/70 of 52 Willite Dr. On the 10 th, at approximately 0915 hrs, Deputy Keller was stationed at the magnetometers at the Hall of Justice. As Hemingway was emptying his pockets the deputy noticed a small bag of what appeared to be some type of controlled substance. Hemingway resisted the deputy’s attempt to investigate further and swallowed a bag of cocaine during the altercation. A total of four bags were recovered from Hemingway’s person, three containing cocaine and one marijuana. Hemingway was incarcerated in the Monroe County Jail.
